During 1942-1943 in Tashkent city a new cable factory was built on the basis of factory "Electrocable", evacuated in October, 1941 from Russia. It started manufacturing all nomenclature of products output on the factory "Electrocable".

OJSC "Uzkabel" JV is the largest in the Central-Asian region universal enterprise - the manufacturer of cable-wire products.

It’s a member of the international association of manufacturers of cable-wire products "Electrocable", and also is a member of international organization "InterKabel" since 2004.

Modern technological the equipment of such manufacturers as «South wire» (USA) - a line of continuous molding and rolling, «SAMP» (Italy) - a line of coarse wire drawing, Nokia (Finland) the product line, «Rozendahl» (Austria) – extrusion and twining equipment, «Scandinavian Recycling AB» (Sweden) - a line on processing of a waste of cable manufacture, «SKET» and «Wiedenbach Apparateba U GMBH» (Germany) – labelling equipment, provide output of qualitative products answering standards of Republic Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. Capacity of the factory allows to output of 3000 standard sizes which are used in branches: power, geology, railway transportation, communication, mechanical engineering, the mining industry, agriculture, etc.

The basic part of non-isolated wire and cable products is exported to the CIS countries and the far abroad (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Kirghizia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Baltic States, China, Iran).

The industrial complex of OJSC "Uzkabel" JV includes below-mentioned kinds of products:

  • Manufacture of copper wire rod, contact wires, wires for overhead transmission lines, power cables for a stationary lining isolated with sewed polyethylene;
  • Self-bearing isolated wires (SIP-1; SIP -1А; SIP -2; SIP -2А; SIP -3);
  • Geophysical cables;
  • Cables for submersible petropumps;
  • Cables in rubber isolation and a cover;
  • Power and control cables;
  • City telephone cables, cables of a long-distance communication, signal-blocking cables for railways;
  • Consumer goods, adjusting and lighting wires;
  • Cable with twisted pair for data transmission (UTP);
  • Corrugated packing cardboard;
  • Paint and varnish products under "HAYAT" trade mark;
  • Polymeric container - manufacture and sale.
