About enterprise:
The Open Joint Stock Company “Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent” (OJSC “DKG” JV) has rich history, being the assignee of the Tashkent research-and-production association (TashNIKI) which was working out and introducing special products into manufacture.

The history of enterprise began in 1949 when the government of the USSR decided to create Tashkent branch of VNII (TO VNIIKP) of the cable industry with a view of working out and manufacture development of load-carrying geophysical cables for research of terrestrial bowels and cables for the oil-extracting industry. In the fiftieth TO VNIIKP developed and introduced a number of cables for geophysical researches, including load-carrying geophysical cables with rubber and plastic isolation with two-layer armor-plating from a round steel wire for work in a well 5 000 meters deep. 

In the early sixties cables for submersible electric motors of oil pumps originally with rubber, subsequently with polyethylene isolation, rounded with steel zinced tape armored (CPBK) and flat (CPBP) were developed and introduced widely into manufacture. 

In 1964 TO VNIIKP was transformed to the independent enterprise - Tashkent scientific-research, design and an institute of technology of the cable industry (ТashNIKI). 

New problems were put before the institute to work out and the organize manufacture of special products for the Ministry of Defense, the Ministries of shipbuilding and Navy of the USSR. 

In 1964-1965 the new engineering-laboratory of the institute and factory to manufacture of special cable products on institute working outs were built to solve these problems. The institute and factory were equipped by newest equipment, necessary to solve tasks. 

From 1965 to 2000 carrying cables, towed cable systems for hydro acoustic researches of world ocean were developed, underwater cables of communication, various cables and wires for internal installation of surface and underwater vessels. These are towed multicore cable systems of BCS type with polyethylene and fluorine isolation with the two-layer round stainless steel wire armor. 

In 1980-1981 the second industrial works of the factory was constructed for satisfaction of increasing need for its products. The works was equipped with the unique equipment some kinds of it made in the former GDR under the special order in individual copies. 

In the eightieth the enterprise developed and mastered carrying coaxial cables with polyethylene isolation, armored with steel zinced wire the in building lengths of 8 000 - 10 000 meters. These cables are intended for deep-water researches of world ocean, in particular research vessels of the Academy of sciences. 

In 1999 the enterprise has been transformed into joint Uzbek-German Open Joint-stock company «Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent» and was registered 13.05.1999 under number 003041 by the Uzbekistan Ministry of Justice. 

In 2005 a steel wire and various products manufacture was created at the enterprise.
